Foundation
Founded by Sharon in 2004, Sharon’s Sewing has been a trusted name in quality alterations, tailoring, and custom sewing for over two decades. Sharon’s love for sewing began at an early age and has been a lifelong pursuit, driven by creativity, skill, and dedication. Before opening her shop, she was a seamstress while raising her three children, balancing her family life with her passion for the art of sewing.
With decades of experience as a skilled seamstress, tailor, and dressmaker, Sharon brings her artistry and attention to detail to every project. Her commitment to quality and personalized service has earned Sharon’s Sewing a reputation for excellence and has made her a trusted resource in the community for all sewing needs.
The Future of Sharon’s Sewing
Sharon is beginning the process of stepping back and passing on her legacy to Ngun, her trusted partner and fellow seamstress. This transition has been carefully planned over time, allowing Sharon and Ngun to build a strong partnership rooted in shared values, skill, and dedication to quality. Ngun, the proud new owner, brings a lifetime of experience and passion to her craft. Originally from Myanmar (Burma), Ngun began sewing at the age of 7, honing her skills with dedication and love for the art. She moved to the United States in 2012 and became a valued part of Sharon’s Sewing in 2017. Since then, she has created a home in Syracuse with her husband and their four children. After years of working alongside Sharon, Ngun purchased the business in 2023, continuing its legacy of exceptional service.
While Sharon looks forward to retirement, she remains deeply involved in the business, bringing her expertise to every project. Sharon is confident in Ngun’s abilities and is grateful to have found someone who shares her commitment to excellence and her passion for helping clients look and feel their best. Ngun is excited to carry on the tradition of quality and care that has made Sharon’s Sewing a trusted name.
